Millions of people across the world come to Pinterest to find new ideas every day. It’s where they get inspiration, dream about new possibilities and plan for what matters most. Our mission is to help those people find their inspiration and create a life they love. In this role, you'll work on projects that support this mission and help move Pinterest forward.

Pinterest is looking for an expert-level iOS UI engineer to help lead our frontend quality workstream. In this role, you’ll partner closely with cross-functional leaders across Design, Engineering, Product, and Design Systems to improve design quality and consistency across the organization. You’ll identify and build tooling, workflows, and automations that help teams ship polished, scalable, and high-performing iOS experiences. You bring deep expertise in Swift and native iOS UI development, strong product and craft judgment, and a passion for improving how great frontend experiences are built. Experience working closely with design, understanding design systems, and using AI, machine learning, or data-informed approaches to detect UX quality opportunities is a strong plus.

What you’ll do:

  • 7-10 Years of experience
  • Drive the frontend quality workstream for iOS, raising the bar for visual polish, implementation consistency, and overall product craft.
  • Partner with cross-functional leaders to identify the biggest opportunities to improve frontend quality across teams and surfaces.
  • Build tooling, workflows, and automations that improve how UI and UX quality issues are detected, triaged, and prevented.
  • Contribute, review, and ship production-ready code that is scalable, maintainable, performant, and testable.
  • Improve the translation of design intent into high-quality implementation across shared components and product features.
  • Collaborate closely with Design, Design Systems, Product, and Engineering to define and uphold quality standards.
  • Help teams navigate tradeoffs between frontend quality, velocity, maintainability, and performance.
  • Establish and promote best practices for iOS UI architecture, implementation, testing, and code review.
  • Influence quality outcomes beyond direct code contributions by improving systems, standards, and developer workflows.
  • Explore and apply AI, machine learning, and/or data engineering approaches to identify, measure, or detect UX quality improvement opportunities where valuable.

What we’re looking for:

  • Expert-level experience developing native iOS interfaces in Swift.
  • Strong experience with both UIKit and SwiftUI.
  • Experience with the Texture UI framework is highly desired.
  • Proven ability to create, review, and submit production-ready code that is scalable, maintainable, performant, and testable.
  • Strong understanding of frontend engineering best practices, including architecture, code quality, testing, and long-term maintainability.
  • Track record of improving UI quality through systems thinking, tooling, process improvements, or technical leadership.
  • Ability to work effectively across disciplines and influence cross-functional partners.
  • Strong judgment balancing visual/design quality with engineering pragmatism and product constraints.
  • Experience working with design systems or closely interpreting design specifications is a strong plus.
  • Experience leveraging AI, machine learning, computer vision, or data engineering practices to identify or detect UX quality improvements is a plus.
