Safety Specialist II, Intellectual Property Operations

We are looking for a US-based contractor to support Pinterest’s Intellectual Property Operations team for six months.

This role will:

• Independently support enforcement processes in the area of Intellectual Property Operations, utilizing a strong understanding of relevant policies and procedures.
• Identify gaps and trends to make recommendations.
• Collaborate cross-functionally to improve processes and support projects, with some guidance. Adjust to changes and ambiguity, with some guidance.

Responsibilities:

• Uses policy proficiency to make enforcement decisions, take enforcement actions, and manage cases.
• Identifies enforcement trends, insights, and gray areas to inform policy updates and clarifications. Supports sourcing or creating relevant materials needed to operationalize policies, including enforcement guidelines, macros, and content examples for training materials. Tests operational readiness of policy and related documentation and makes recommendations for improvements.
• Resolves escalated content questions from cross-functional stakeholders. Executes established processes and procedures for emergency escalations, incidents, or investigations.
• Supports project/program requirements and deliverables. Coordinates and communicates effectively with cross-functional partners based on project or program needs.

What we’re looking for:

•  3-5 Years of experience

• Demonstrated experience in intellectual property operations in copyright (DMCA) and trademark, or relevant experience in other regulatory compliance notice and takedown oriented areas such as privacy or law enforcement response in trust and safety.
• Strong attention to detail and analytical skills.
• Strong written communication skills and ability to exercise judgment.
